What if?
The word “quiet” has accompanied me since childhood, when I used to choose a peaceful corner at home and sit there with a notebook and a pen in hand. I wrote down everything that came to my mind, a mind that just began to comprehend the reality of things. However, my writings at the time had nothing to do with “reality”, but rather was the product of a pulsing imagination. creating non-stop before knowing what creativity is. An imagination that always brought forth a simple inquiry: "What if?"

Writing has always been an outlet for me, an effective and ideal way of expressing myself when words fail me. It was a close friend and a companion when my childhood lacked those.

Years passed, changes came, and writing remained, but with the days of high school nearing an end, the sun of imagination and creativity began to set, and reality dawned.

I started seeing everyone around me racing towards a "dazzling future" that held a narrow meaning at the time, represented in very few and limited college majors, and just like a lost sheep at the back of the herd I ended up pursuing one of these majors. Engineering.

I will pause here to clarify that I don’t dislike engineering, and I do not claim that science based majors are not at the forefront, especially in this era of technological advancement. But I simply couldn’t find myself in it, even after I spent my years at university in a desperate battle with my subconscious mind, from which I emerged as a loser.

A year after I graduated, and after an endless number of attempts to get a job worthy of my degree. I came across a job offer titled "content writer" for a start-up company loaded with an impressive amount of creativity and ambition.

And like a sun rising amongst the fog, a question that had been crammed into a corner of my mind for a long time broke free.

what if?

I summoned some of my writing skills and used them to write a persuasive email, not only to convince the employer, but to convince little Iman that her passion for writing hides a "dazzling future."

It has now been two years since I started working at Ma’an Art Production Company, and I can say with confidence that the current job market accommodates various talents and skills. All one has to do is look for an encouraging environment and a way to wield their skills, and to preserve all ambitions and desires, without which the true joy of creativity will not be felt.
